From The Scotsman News

In this article in todays online Scotsman, a murder trial will be reenacted in Edinburgh. This is fascinating enough, but it is even more entertaining to read the comments to this story.

In one before that, about the 40th anniversary revisit to the Clyde by the QE2; one commenter writes in the Scottish style to inform another of his ignorance in that the original QE was named after the woman who would become known as the Queen Mother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, Queen Consort of George VI the father of the present Queen.

He starts his commentary with “What a numptie, yer paddle’s no big enough.” Numptie!  What a delightful derogatory!
